    Terms and Conditions

    Effective Date: August 3, 2026
    Last Updated: August 3, 2026

Welcome to americanautotn.com, operated by Farmer & Woodmore LLC DBA American Auto, referred to in these Terms and Conditions as “American Auto Repair,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, online forms, appointment-request tools, chat features, text-message programs, email communications, and other digital services.

By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

    1. General Information

The information provided on this website is intended for general informational and customer-service purposes.

Website content does not replace an in-person vehicle inspection, professional diagnosis, written estimate, repair authorization, invoice, warranty document, or direct confirmation from our staff.

We may update, remove, or change website content, services, pricing, promotions, hours, or availability at any time.

    2. Appointment Requests

Submitting an appointment request through the website does not guarantee or confirm an appointment.

Your appointment is confirmed only after American Auto Repair accepts the request and communicates confirmation to you.

Requested dates and times may be unavailable due to technician schedules, shop capacity, holidays, weather, parts availability, or other circumstances.

For urgent scheduling questions, call (615) 644-1111.

    3. Estimates, Pricing and Fees

Prices, service descriptions, promotions, and estimates displayed or discussed through the website are subject to change.

Online or preliminary estimates may not include:

    • Diagnostic labor
    • Taxes
    • Shop supplies
    • Environmental or disposal fees
    • Towing or storage charges
    • Parts-price changes
    • Additional labor
    • Special-order components
    • Hidden or previously undiscovered damage
    • Problems found during inspection or disassembly
    • Additional work caused by rust, corrosion, modifications, broken hardware, or previous repairs

A final price may require an in-person inspection and diagnosis.

Unless expressly stated in writing, website information, automated messages, chat responses, emails, and telephone discussions are not binding quotes.

    4. Repair Authorization

No repair or service work will be performed without appropriate customer authorization, except where otherwise permitted by law.

Authorization may be provided verbally, electronically, by text message, through a digital estimate, or in writing.

Additional authorization may be requested when further repairs, costs, or vehicle conditions are discovered.

You are responsible for reviewing estimates, recommended services, declined services, authorizations, invoices, and warranty information.

    5. Vehicle Information

You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your vehicle, including its year, make, model, mileage, symptoms, service history, and any known modifications or prior repairs.

Incorrect or incomplete information may affect:

    • Appointment scheduling
    • Parts selection
    • Diagnostic accuracy
    • Repair recommendations
    • Estimated costs
    • Completion times
    • Customer communications

    6. Diagnostics and Repair Results

Vehicle symptoms may have several possible causes. Information provided through a form, text message, photograph, email, phone call, or website chat cannot replace a physical inspection.

We do not guarantee that a diagnosis or repair recommendation can be made solely from information submitted online.

Repair outcomes may also depend on the vehicle’s age, mileage, condition, prior work, parts availability, manufacturer requirements, and other factors outside our control.

    7. Vehicle Safety

Do not continue driving a vehicle that may be unsafe or that may suffer further damage from continued operation.

Stop operating the vehicle and seek immediate assistance when you experience issues such as:

    • Brake failure
    • Steering problems
    • Severe overheating
    • Smoke or fire
    • Fuel leaks
    • Major fluid leaks
    • Warning lights indicating an immediate hazard
    • Unusual noises suggesting mechanical failure
    • Unsafe tire or wheel conditions

Our website, chat, email, and text-message services are not emergency services.

Call 911, roadside assistance, or another appropriate emergency provider when necessary.

    8. Completion Dates and Delays

Any repair completion time is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

Completion may be delayed by circumstances such as:

    • Parts availability
    • Shipping delays
    • Additional diagnostic findings
    • Technician availability
    • Manufacturer procedures
    • Warranty approval
    • Insurance approval
    • Customer authorization delays
    • Weather
    • Power or technology outages
    • Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for losses caused by reasonable or unavoidable service delays.

    9. Payment

You agree to pay all authorized charges for labor, diagnostics, parts, shop supplies, fees, towing, storage, and other approved services.

Payment is due according to the terms provided on your estimate, repair order, invoice, or other service documentation.

We may use third-party payment processors or financing providers. Those services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, approval standards, and fees.

    10. Vehicle Pickup and Storage

Customers are responsible for picking up completed vehicles promptly after notification.

Storage charges may apply when a vehicle is not picked up within the period stated on the estimate, repair order, invoice, posted shop policy, or customer notification, where permitted by law.

Vehicles will generally be released only after all amounts due have been paid or other approved arrangements have been made.

    11. Personal Property

Please remove valuables and personal property from your vehicle before leaving it for service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, American Auto Repair is not responsible for personal property left inside a vehicle unless the loss or damage was directly caused by our negligence or unlawful conduct.

    12. Parts and Replaced Components

Parts may be new, remanufactured, rebuilt, reconditioned, aftermarket, or used, depending on the repair, availability, customer authorization, and written estimate.

Replaced parts may be discarded, returned to a supplier, retained for a core charge, or handled according to legal or environmental requirements.

Requests to retain replaced parts must be made before the repair begins and may not be available when a part must be returned for warranty, core credit, or legal reasons.

    13. Warranties

Any warranty covering parts or labor will be described in the applicable invoice, repair order, written warranty, or manufacturer documentation.

Website statements do not create a warranty unless expressly identified as a warranty in writing.

Warranty coverage may exclude issues such as:

    • Normal wear and tear
    • Abuse or misuse
    • Racing or commercial misuse
    • Accidents
    • Unauthorized modifications
    • Work performed by another repair facility
    • Failure to follow maintenance recommendations
    • Customer-supplied parts
    • Unrelated mechanical failures

Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and claim procedures.

    14. Customer-Supplied Parts

American Auto Repair may decline to install customer-supplied parts.

When customer-supplied parts are accepted, we may not provide a warranty on the part, its fitment, its quality, or additional labor required due to defects or incorrect components.

Any applicable labor warranty must be stated in writing.

    15. Promotions, Coupons and Special Offers

Promotions, discounts, coupons, and special offers may:

    • Have expiration dates
    • Be limited to certain services or vehicles
    • Require advance presentation
    • Exclude taxes, fees, diagnostic services, special-order parts, or prior purchases
    • Be limited to one use per customer or vehicle
    • Be unavailable with other offers
    • Be modified or discontinued where permitted by law

The specific terms stated in an offer control if they conflict with these general Terms.

Advertising and promotional claims are subject to federal and Tennessee laws prohibiting deceptive or misleading practices.

    16. Website Forms and Online Chat

Our website may provide contact forms, appointment forms, live chat, automated chat, or AI-assisted communication tools.

Information submitted through these tools may be stored, reviewed, summarized, or routed to our staff and service providers.

Automated tools may occasionally produce incomplete or inaccurate responses. Their responses are not final diagnoses, confirmed appointments, guaranteed prices, or binding repair recommendations.

Do not submit sensitive information through general website forms or chat, including:

    • Social Security numbers
    • Banking passwords
    • Complete payment-card numbers
    • Government identification numbers
    • Unrelated medical or financial information

    17. Email, Phone and Text Communications

By providing your contact information, you authorize American Auto Repair to respond concerning your inquiry, appointment, estimate, authorization, repair status, invoice, payment, vehicle pickup, or other customer-service matter.

Your consent to receive marketing text messages is optional and is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out of text messages or HELP for assistance. You may also revoke consent through another reasonable method, such as contacting us directly. Applicable FCC rules require covered opt-out requests to be honored within the required timeframe and generally permit one nonpromotional confirmation text.

Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent us from sending legally permitted communications necessary to complete an active transaction or respond to your request.

    18. Call Recording and Communication Records

Telephone calls, voicemails, chats, emails, and text messages may be recorded, monitored, transcribed, or stored for:

    • Customer service
    • Training
    • Documentation
    • Quality assurance
    • Fraud prevention
    • Security
    • Dispute resolution
    • Legal compliance

Recording will occur only where permitted by applicable law.

    19. Reviews, Photos and Customer Content

You may be able to submit reviews, photographs, testimonials, comments, or other content.

By submitting content, you represent that:

    • You have the right to submit it
    • It is truthful to the best of your knowledge
    • It does not violate another person’s rights
    • It is not fraudulent, unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or malicious

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you grant American Auto Repair a nonexclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, publish, display, and share the content for legitimate business and promotional purposes.

We may remove content that violates these Terms.

    20. Acceptable Website Use

    You may not:

    • Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent activity
    • Submit false or misleading information
    • Impersonate another person
    • Attempt to access restricted systems or data
    • Introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code
    • Disrupt the website or its services
    • Abuse forms, appointment systems, chat tools, or communication channels
    • Harvest customer or business information
    • Scrape or copy website content through unauthorized automated tools
    • Violate intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights

We may block or restrict access when misuse is suspected.

    21. Intellectual Property

The website and its content, including its text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, layouts, service descriptions, and software, are owned by American Auto Repair or used with permission.

You may view or print website content for personal, noncommercial use.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, sell, license, or commercially exploit website content without prior written permission.

Third-party trademarks and vehicle-manufacturer names remain the property of their respective owners.

    22. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may connect to third-party platforms, including:

    • Scheduling systems
    • Payment processors
    • Financing providers
    • Mapping services
    • Review websites
    • Social networks
    • Automotive-information providers
    • Customer-communication platforms

We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, content, security, privacy practices, or terms of third-party services.

Your use of those services is governed by their own agreements.

    23. Privacy

Our collection and handling of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

    24. Website Availability and Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate website content, but errors and outages may occur.

    We do not guarantee that:

    • The website will always be available
    • Every service description will be complete or current
    • All website functions will operate without interruption
    • Every message or appointment request will be delivered
    • All errors will be corrected immediately
    • The website will be free from viruses or other harmful components

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any website feature without notice.

    25. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its digital features are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

American Auto Repair disclaims implied warranties concerning the website, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement.

Nothing in these Terms limits a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be limited.

    26. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, American Auto Repair and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from:

    • Your use of or inability to use the website
    • Reliance on website content
    • Online scheduling errors
    • Delayed or undelivered electronic communications
    • Third-party platforms
    • Unauthorized access to communications
    • Website downtime
    • Decisions made without an in-person inspection

These limitations relate to website and digital-service use. They do not eliminate obligations arising from completed repair work, written warranties, negligence, or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

    27. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless American Auto Repair and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:

    • Your unlawful use of the website
    • Information or content you submit
    • Your violation of these Terms
    • Your violation of another person’s rights

    28. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal proceeding concerning the website or these Terms must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Tennessee, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

    29. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

The affected provision will be interpreted or modified only to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permitted.

    30. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.

    31. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of the website after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes to the extent permitted by law.
